TEC conducts monthly expeditions into the topography of recorded sound. The terrain is the vinyl groove — a physical landscape of peaks, valleys, and micro-structures that the stylus reads as signal.
Expeditionists arrive equipped with a mess kit — plate, bowl, utensils, cup — for consuming field rations during the survey. Each member submits a field report documenting their sensory observations of the terrain traversed.
This is not passive listening. This is fieldwork.
